Chess is played between two players and is considered to be an entertaining and cutthroat board game. The chess software developed by Linux is of two types- chess engine and front end application. Top ten chess applications tools are developed by Linux for playing computer chess games.

  • SOSS: SOSS is a kind of software used for pairing of players in a chess tournament. Attention is paid on the whole event and not only on the pairing. For SOSS’s graphical platform, Allegro is used.
